1) HIPAA Compliance
Mendry is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not collect, store, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Members and users may not share medical records, test results, diagnoses, prescriptions, or any other PHI through the Mendry website, membership profiles, or communication tools.
- All communications between veterans and providers occur outside of Mendry and are the sole responsibility of the parties involved.
- Any PHI posted in violation of this rule will be removed, and the account may be terminated without notice.
2) No Medical Advice
All content on Mendry—including articles, guides, provider listings, event information, and linked resources—is for informational and educational purposes only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use of this site does not create a patient–provider relationship with Mendry or any listed provider. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before making health decisions.
3) Medical Cannabis Advocacy Disclaimer
Mendry is an advocacy and educational platform supporting access to cannabis-informed healthcare. We do not sell, distribute, cultivate, or dispense cannabis or cannabis-derived products.
- Statements about cannabis are for educational purposes only and have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- Cannabis remains regulated at the state level and may be prohibited under federal law.
- You are responsible for knowing and complying with applicable cannabis laws in your jurisdiction.
- Mendry does not guarantee that any listed provider is legally permitted to recommend or certify medical cannabis in your state.
4) Baby Layette Program Disclaimer
The Baby Layette Program provides donated items for active-duty military and veteran families with newborns.
- Participation is limited to once every three (3) years per household, regardless of military relocation or duty station changes.
- Selection is based on a random entry number and is not guaranteed.
- Items are provided as-is without warranties of any kind. Recipients must inspect items before use and follow safety guidelines.
- Benefits are non-transferable. Mendry is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss from the use of donated items.
5) Biweekly Veterans Meetups Disclaimer
Our Biweekly Veterans Meetups are for community support, networking, and resource sharing.
- Locations, topics, and speakers are subject to change, and attendance by specific speakers is not guaranteed.
- Mendry does not provide transportation; attendees are encouraged to arrange pre-arranged transportation for safety.
- Donated Meals & Beverages: Some meetups may include food or beverages provided by licensed medical cannabis dispensaries or producers.
- Consumption is voluntary and at your discretion.
- Mendry does not prepare, test, or certify the safety, potency, or legality of donated items.
- Attendees are responsible for complying with applicable cannabis laws.
- Mendry is not liable for any health, legal, or personal consequences from consumption.
- Consumption is voluntary and at your discretion.
- Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. Mendry is not responsible for injuries, illness, property loss, or other damages during or after attendance.
6) Membership Rules & Profile Use
- Mendry memberships are billed monthly in advance.
- Profiles may include public contact details, credentials, practice info, and links to external booking platforms only—no direct booking or PHI collection is allowed.
- Members must keep their profile information accurate and up-to-date.
- Any misuse of profiles, sharing of PHI, or posting of misleading content may result in immediate termination without refund.
7) AI-Generated Introductory Video Policy
Some membership tiers include one AI-generated introductory video:
- Members complete a detailed AI Intake Form to define their video preferences before production.
- No refunds will be issued for disputes over creative design, likeness, voice, or style, as members approve the intake form in advance.
- If a technical or production issue occurs, Mendry will attempt resolution within three (3) business days of being notified.
- All AI-generated media remains the intellectual property of Mendry but is licensed for promotional use during active membership.
8) Monthly Billing & No Refund Policy
- Membership fees are collected monthly in advance via Mendry’s secure payment processor using approved payment methods.
- Memberships renew automatically each month unless canceled before the next billing date.
- All fees are non-refundable, including for:
- Early cancellation by the member
- Account termination for rule violations
- Disputes over AI-generated videos or other creative work
- Inability to use the platform due to member-side technical issues
- Early cancellation by the member
9) Prohibited Uses
Members and users may not:
- Share or request PHI through Mendry
- Engage in harassment, defamation, discrimination, or hate speech.
- Make an unsubstantiated medical claim.s
- Post copyrighted content without permission.
- Use Mendry for illegal activities or to promote unlawful cannabis activity.
10) Provider Listings & Verification
Members submit provider information. While Mendry may verify credentials, we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or current status. Users should verify credentials directly with relevant licensing boards.
11) Limitation of Liability
Mendry is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Participation in programs or events
- Use of donated items
- Use of AI-generated content
- Transactions or communications between veterans and providers
12) Dispute Resolution & Legal Proceedings
If a legal issue arises:
- Governing Law: All disputes will be governed by the laws of [Insert State].
- Jurisdiction: All claims must be filed in the state or federal courts located in [Insert County/State].
- Informal Resolution: Members agree to attempt informal resolution before legal action.
- Limitation on Claims: All claims must be filed within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim.
