Privacy Policy

The short version: you can read every page on this site without telling us anything about yourself. No account, no paywall, no health information, ever.

The Short Version

We do not ask for your health information and we cannot receive it through this website. We do not sell or rent anything about you. We do not run advertising. The only information we hold about most visitors is the ordinary technical record every website keeps, plus whatever you choose to put in an email to us.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to mendry.org and any page published on it. Mendry is a Florida 501(c)(3) nonprofit at 18801 N Dale Mabry Highway, Suite 1020, Lutz, FL 33548.

It does not apply to the other platforms we link to. Two matter in particular:

  • Veterans Desk — the provider directory opens on members.veteransdesk.org, a partner platform with its own privacy policy.
  • DutyPath Academy — provider membership applications and the associated payments are handled by DutyPath Academy, not by Mendry. Payment card details never reach us or this website.

When you follow a link off mendry.org, the policy of the site you land on governs what happens next. We would encourage you to read it.

What we do not collect

These are hard limits, not preferences:

  • No Protected Health Information. Mendry is not a HIPAA-covered entity and is not a business associate of one. We do not collect, transmit, or store diagnoses, treatment records, VA claim information, or any other health information. Please do not send us any.
  • No accounts. There is no registration, no login, and no user profile on mendry.org.
  • No payment information. Nothing is sold on this website and no payment is taken on it.
  • No sale of personal information. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or sponsors. Sponsors fund the mission; they do not receive information about visitors.
  • No advertising or tracking pixels for advertising purposes.

What we do collect

Server and technical information

Like every website, our host records ordinary technical details when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, device type, the page requested, the page you came from, and the date and time. This is used to keep the site running, diagnose faults, and defend against attacks. It is not used to build a profile of you.

Anything you send us

If you email info@mendry.org, or write to us at the postal address above, we hold that message and your contact details for as long as we need to answer you and keep a reasonable record of the correspondence. Please keep health details out of it. If you send them anyway, we will not add them to any record and will delete them.

Cookies and similar technologies

Checklists, conversation guides, and expectation-setting templates reduce avoidable delays and make appointments more productive — especially for veterans managing chronic pain, chronic disease, or PTSD. All resources are freely available, without registration, paywall, or solicitation. Veterans are encouraged to bring a one-page goals card to both VA and community visits, with two functional targets and a reassessment date.

[TO BE CONFIRMED BEFORE PUBLICATION] — this section must match what the site actually runs. Confirm each of the following and we will finalise the wording:

  • Is any analytics package installed (Google Analytics, Jetpack, Matomo, or similar)? If so, which, and is IP anonymisation on?
  • The chat widget in the bottom-right corner of every page — which vendor is it, does it store transcripts, and where?
  • Is there a newsletter or mailing list signup anywhere on the site, and which provider handles it?
  • Are fonts served from Google Fonts (which discloses visitor IP addresses to Google) or hosted locally?
  • Are there any embedded videos, maps, or social feeds?

Why we hold anything at all

What Why How long
Server logs Site reliability and security Kept for the short period our host retains logs, then deleted
Email correspondence To answer you and keep a record of what was asked No longer than reasonably necessary
Strictly necessary cookies Basic site function Session or short-lived

Who else sees it

Our web host and the technical services that keep the site online can access the information above in the course of running it. We do not otherwise disclose visitor information, except where we are legally required to — a valid subpoena, court order, or law enforcement demand — or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a person.

Your choices

  • Browse without contact. Every resource on this site is free and open. You never have to identify yourself to use it.
  • Ask what we hold. Email info@mendry.org and we will tell you what correspondence we have from you, and delete it on request.
  • Control cookies. Your browser can block or clear cookies. The site will still work.
  • Do Not Track. We do not track you across sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off.

If you live somewhere with specific data rights — including Florida, California, or the EU and UK — write to us and we will honour the rights that apply to you.

Children

This site is written for adults: veterans, family caregivers, clinicians, and administrative professionals. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@mendry.org and we will delete it.

Security

We use standard measures to protect the site, including encrypted connections. No website can promise perfect security, which is one more reason we have designed this one to hold as little about you as possible.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page.
