[NOTES FOR THE CLIENT]

  • The EIN and legal name must be filled in before this page goes live — an incomplete trust page is worse than no page.
  • Florida requires most charities soliciting in the state to register with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and to include the registration number and the statutory disclosure statement in solicitations. Confirm the registration number and whether the statutory wording is required on this page.
  • If Form 990 filings are available, link them below — grant officers look for them.

What tax-exempt status means here

Mendry is a nonprofit, not a business with a nonprofit label. There are no shareholders and no profit distribution. Funds go into publishing education, maintaining the provider directory, running the Peri Care Home Essentials Fund, and the administration required to do those things properly.

Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. We are not able to give you tax advice — your accountant can tell you what applies to your situation.

Where the money comes from

  • Sponsors fund the mission. They do not shape content and do not influence directory listings. That separation is a published rule, not an informal one.
  • Provider membership fees are collected by DutyPath Academy, a separate platform, not by Mendry.
  • Donations and grants from individuals and organizations supporting veteran education.

What we are not

Mendry is not a government agency and is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any federal or state agency. We are not a dispensary, a certification service, a staffing or placement agency, or a HIPAA-covered entity. We do not prescribe, sell, or endorse cannabis products, and we do not collect Protected Health Information.

Financial and governance transparency

  • A Board of Directors of veterans, licensed medical professionals, and compliance experts
  • An Advisory Panel of providers, nonprofit leaders, and legal and regulatory specialists
  • A documented conflict-of-interest policy and content takedown procedure
  • An editorial firewall between sponsorship and published content
