Mendry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to education-only resources that help veterans, families, and providers understand state-legal, medical-cannabis–aligned care, with particular emphasis on chronic pain, chronic disease, and PTSD. We complement VA Community Care pathways by clarifying what’s legal, what’s not, and how to prepare for conversations with licensed clinicians (especially osteopathic physicians) without ever stepping into clinical advice, product sales, or handling of PHI. In short, we raise literacy and reduce confusion, enabling veterans to make informed decisions with their doctors. We do not recommend, certify, sell, or endorse cannabis products; we do not collect PHI; and we do not provide medical care.
We build plain-language, state-aware guides and host neutral workshops that explain rules, risks, and alternatives to long-term opioid use—without dosing guidance or product promotion. Education Pods (live and virtual) equip veterans and caregivers to ask better questions and understand care boundaries.
Many osteopathic physicians support whole-person care for veterans. Our primers help them communicate clearly about what state law permits, how VA Community Care coordination works, and what activities are prohibited within the VA. (Mendry is separate from VeteransDesk.org, which remains cannabis-free and focused on Community Care navigation.)
Checklists, conversation guides, and expectation-setting templates reduce avoidable delays and make appointments more productive—especially for chronic pain, chronic disease, and PTSD
Where education gaps are largest, we provide small grants to vetted, veteran-serving nonprofits to localize and deliver neutral, state-aware learning.
We prioritize reach in the largest veteran hubs—Texas, California, Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia—while serving veterans nationwide through digital content and on-demand modules.
We report unique visitors to state pages, guide downloads, average time on page, podcast/listenership trends, and clicks to verified, non-commercial educational resources.
Education Pod attendance, pre/post confidence indicators, and geography trends show whether understanding—and equitable access to information—is improving
Sponsors receive concise reports that connect dollars to deliverables: pages launched or refreshed, Pods delivered, veterans reached in priority states, and anonymized stories that illustrate reduced confusion or delay.
Mendry does not sell products, offer discount codes, provide dosing advice, or make or host health claims. We do not collect PHI and are not a HIPAA-covered entity.
Recognition (our “Veteran Supporter” mark) appears on program pages, state spotlights, podcasts, and newsletters—never adjacent to product claims or endorsements.
Sponsors fund the mission; they do not shape clinical content or influence listings. That firewall protects the credibility of veterans and ensures brand safety for partners
Mendry covers medical cannabis education only. VeteransDesk.org (our sister platform) remains cannabis-free, focusing on VA Community Care navigation, and ensures that both brands maintain clear, non-overlapping mandates.
Mendry is veteran-led and advised by compliance-focused professionals. We publish policies, enforce strict disclaimers, review content for accuracy and neutrality, and maintain procedures for conflict of interest and takedown. Funds are reinvested into neutral education and community benefit. These measures lower reputational, regulatory, and brand safety risks for every sponsor.

Many veterans living with chronic pain, chronic disease, or PTSD seek safe, lawful alternatives to long-term opioid use. But rules vary by state, federal constraints remain, and VA’s clinical boundaries create understandable confusion. Veterans need clear, state-aware explanations of what can and can’t happen in VA settings, what requires outside-of-VA action, and how VA Community Care–aligned, state-licensed clinicians—often osteopathic physicians—can engage within the law and professional standards. Mendry fills that education gap, so clinical decisions stay where they belong: between veterans and their licensed providers

You won’t be asked to endorse products, and your logo will never appear next to dosing claims or clinical promises. We do not run affiliate codes, giveaways, or promotions tied to cannabis products. We do not accept funding that conditions or steers editorial outcomes.
If your organization believes veterans deserve clear, compliant, non-commercial education, partner with Mendry. Your sponsorship scales state resources, expands Education Pods, and ensures no veteran is left guessing about the rules—or the risks—when exploring state-legal, medical-cannabis–aligned options for chronic pain, chronic disease, and PTSD alongside VA Community Care pathways.
Mendry is an educational platform only. We do not provide medical advice, product recommendations, or assistance with state programs. All medical decisions are made by Mendry, a nonprofit platform offering education and a professional network for providers interested in safe, legal medical cannabis access for veterans, without prescribing or product sales.
